Re-Thinking Denim

coat - Vanessa Bruno

Ed. Note: Janice, The Vivienne Files, (you knew that) is saving my life these days while at the same time keeping you entertained while I toil. By the end of the month everything will be out of my hands and I'll be back full-time. In a long conversation with a friend of mine this weekend, she said to me, "I would like Janice to sweep into my closet and change my life." I told her I agreed completely.

I ask you, how does she do it over and over and over with the same L.L. Bean base wardrobe. That's where her genius comes in. Well, that and her accessories of course. It always all about the details, n'est-ce pas?

I'd love to come to France and start re-doing wardrobes - name the time, send me the ticket, and I'm THERE!!!

I love the fashion boards. So many combinations that I would never think of, not to mention it is reminding me to travel lighter.

So would you come to Milwaukee and redo wardrobes? I could send a ticket ! Also, we could play French music in the background to improve the atmosphere :)

A little bit of denim goes far... I still love the look of a man in denim blue jeans with a crisp white button down shirt, or possibly a blue one. And a woman in jeans and a tailored short with just the right about of accessorizing?

Magic.

Denim is always a great wardrobe extender! I find it does not travel as well unless you have access to a washer and dryer. I see way too many tourists in bagged-out denim jeans, worn too many days in a row.

Dark denim jeans with stretch work well for me when traveling but they must have stretch to keep their shape.
Baggy wrinkled jeans look messy, I agree with you.

Enjoy your blog.

Love the denim wardrobe ideas but you still can't beat the basic jean jacket. Seems to go with everything and travels well. Thanks.

I'm a teenager and I heard that you could actually get paid for things like this. I'm familiar with computers and also have good literature skills and I'm certain I could write successful blogs/articles... On a different (sort of) topic, would I have the ability to join affiliate programs?.
