No matter. A recent interview was with Canadian model, Daria Werbowy (it seems to me when pictures speak louder than words, adjectives attesting to her physical assets are redundant), proved that she and I were on the same page -- we'll never be on the same page literally, but we share an opinion if you will.
The question posed to her: "What annoys you in fashion?

A: Self-confidence. (Ed. Note: What's to say?)

I love the idea of self confidence defining elegance...and agree, so glad that politics as they exist today might be out!!
Ugh -those shoes are like a dog chew toy!
One never knows what's in or out in fashion. Confidence is always elegant.xx
A resounding 'here! here!'to Pam's comment!!!!! Confidence radiates beauty!
3/4 sleeves - Useless
Books - Will never go out of style.

Clearly you are tall enough not to need "petite" tops. For me, 3/4 sleeves are a life saver. Regular sleeves are much too long and always, always, always have to be either pushed up or folded up - and many petite garments have the same sleeve length as regular. What a drag, and so often it ruins the look of the outfit.
Note to designers/manufacturers: Short women have short arms - otherwise we would look like little orangutans! Well, maybe we do!
Tish, today's post culling from your dossier was superb! Many laughs and some serious notes were needed as we have snow falling (same storm expected soon in the Northeast). Elegance, someone must have written a book on that. Have been enjoying Grace Coddington's memoir. Still smiling over the prickly pear cactus and Lauboutin reference. Love it! xoxo, C.
I like Daria's thinking. I'm opting for vintage 70s this spring and will be wearing flared Levi's to the David Bowie exhibition at the V&A!
Narcissism is out?
Oh, I certainly hope so!
But sleeves of any sort (for this woman of a certain age) is happy news.
Now about those cactus-inspired moccasins. I can't help but prefer something more classic... avec talon, like the delicious Helmut 100 of 3 or 4 years back...
No to the '80's... maybe yes to the cactus...;) xv
Hmmmm...Christain Louboutin shoes inspired by a cactus, more like a round spikey weapon from the Middle Ages but I'll still wear it. A fun pair of shoes.
Can't keep up with what's "In" "Out" "In" "OUT", I'll find a decade and stick to it, maybe it soon be "In" again.
Yeah, to Daria Werbowy...I think I like her sensibilities, is that the right word or is it an "OUT" word..:)
Enjoy every bit of today's post!!!

So happy she mentions three quarter length sleeves. I always think I look like I'm wearing baby clothes. Or maybe my arms are too long for the trend?
If you feel the need to push up the sleeves, why not just have sleeves the proper length--3/4's. 'Nuff said.
